Minecraft Dungeons is the perfect game for Minecraft fans. Minecraft Dungeons is much like Minecraft, as everything is square. Minecraft Dungeons can be played on a computer or console.
To play, you need to be at the home screen, which shows your character in a forest with a campfire and tent. At the bottom, there is a big green button. Below your character, it says, 'Customize Profile' or something like that. There, you can customize your profile.
To start, on the green button, it will show which buttons to press to switch between an online game, which your friends can join, and an offline game, which is private to you. Once you are loaded in, I believe, you take the tutorial.
Controller/Console: Press A to attack. You cannot control your camera, but use the left stick to control your player. Hold RT to charge your bow. Release to shoot where you are looking. For a crossbow, press RT once. Press RB to roll where you are looking. You can also use the right stick for that. On a game with other players, press LT to quick-chat. You can also teleport to other players by pressing down the right stick.
As you murder mobs, they may drop items. Press X to pick them up. We will cover how to equip them later. If you find a chest or supply chest, press X to open it. Press X when near food to eat it. Eating will give you health. Press X near a potion to drink it. Potions will give various helpful effects.
Once you complete the tutorial, you will be at a place. In the center, is the map. There are villager merchants. We will cover that in the review called: Minecraft Dungeons: Merchants and Mainland.
Press the bottom part of the plus button to open your inventory. Use the left stick to move between items. Press A when selected on an item and then move over to the item you want to replace it with. Press A. The original item will go into your inventory. Press X, and then press A to salvage an item. Salvaging will give you emeralds. Emeralds can be used to buy stuff from merchants. To equip an artifact, select it and put it in one of the three artifact slots. Press X, Y, or B to use them. An item will show its power level and damage.
Press Y on an item to enchant it. You cannot enchant artifacts. Select which enchantment you want. It will cost enchantment points, which you get from leveling up.
To play a level, press the bottom plus button to open the map. Select a level you want to play. Then, select the power level recommended for you, such as Default I, for beginners.
