(We publish a Minecraft review every day except for weekends)
Minecraft Java and Bedrock have many similarities, but also some differences. Let's start with Java.
"Where do I buy it and how much will it cost?"
First of all, Java is for computers only. In Java, you can do lots more commands than in Bedrock. Java also has mods. There is a review on mods that you can check out. To play Java, you have to download it on your computer. It costs, I think, $26. You can also buy it on Xbox Game Pass for a computer.
"How do I play Java and Bedrock?"
It's simple. (All of these controls, except for F2, F3, F5, and all those buttons, are used to play Bedrock (For Windows) and Java on a computer.) To play, use WASD. W to go forward, A to go left, S to go backwards, and D to go right. Press SPACE to jump. While in creative mode, press SPACE twice to fly. Use SHIFT to crouch. In creative mode, use SHIFT to go down while flying. To open your inventory, press E. If you want to see your coordinates, press F3. It will also show other stuff, such as number of chunks currently loaded, or block properties. Press F2 to take a screenshot. Press F5 to change from first person to third person view.
"Are biomes or dimensions different?"
No, but some mobs like the Wither are different. In Bedrock, during the second phase of the Wither, the Wither can charge at you, obliterating anything in its way. The Wither also blows up and spawns Wither Skeletons when it enters the second phase. The Ender Dragon also if different in Bedrock. In Bedrock, dragon's breath launches you up in the air.
"Is there anything else?"
That's just about it. But there is one more thing: in Java, you can play on different versions of the game. Example: The current version is 1.18. You want to play in 1.13. To switch, go to the Minecraft Launcher and search for a version to play in. In Java, you can also play in snapshots, which are previews of the next update, which you can find in the Minecraft Launcher.
"Will Java and Bedrock ever be the same?"
Yes and no. Microsoft is working on making them similar, but differences like more commands and snapshots stay. That's about it, so check out our other Minecraft reviews for more information. Please subscribe to our site.
