The End is not what you think. The End is not the end of Minecraft. Well, it is in a way. The End is a dimension. To get there, you'll need to find the stronghold.
In order to discover the stronghold, you either have to be really lucky and just find it, or make Eyes of Ender. Eyes of Ender are made with blaze powder and ender pearls. Ender pearls can be obtained from endermen. First, throw an Eye of Ender. (Don't drop it) It will float up in the air, pointing in the direction the stronghold is in. The eye may disintegrate. Follow where it goes. Throw them periodically until they go down underground. Dig. The Stronghold will be there.
Explore the stronghold. There are chests with loot in the stronghold. If you find the portal room, place the Eyes of Ender in each portal frame. The portal room has a silverfish spawer. Silverfish are arthropods that can bury themselves in stone. The portal room looks like this:
You'll likely want to come back here, so mark the coordinates of the portal. Once you've put the Eyes of Ender in the portal frame, a portal will appear. If you think you're ready, jump in. Here is a list of supplies.
- Enchanted diamond gear
- Enchanted Bow with Infinity
- 2 stacks of cobblestone
- Plenty of food
- Golden apples
- 2 Water buckets
- Pickaxe
- 3 Shields
- Cat for emotional support (don't do this, the cat would probably die)
Once you're ready, jump in. You will spawn on an obsidian platform. Ahead is a floating island of End stone. Below you is the Void. If you fall, you die. Make a pathway to the island. Once you are at the island, you will see tall obsidian pillars. At the top of each pillar is an End Crystal. These heal the Ender Dragon. The Ender Dragon is the only dragon in Minecraft. At the center of the island is an bedrock structure. We will come back to this later.
You will want to get to the top of the pillars and punch the crystals or shoot them from below. End Crystals do lots of explosion damage when they are destroyed. Once all the End Crystals are gone, shoot the dragon and the dragon will land on the bedrock structure. When it lands, attack it with your sword.
Once you defeat the Ender Dragon, it will drop lots of XP. A portal will appear in the bedrock structure. Jump in and you will be at the last place you slept, or wherever your spawnpoint is.
