Time Shooter 3: A Disappointing Sequel

The time shooter series... the first one was so awesome! Then the second one, which was an awesome second installation in the series, but didn't add much content, and acted kind of like a DLC with more levels to the first one. You can read about the second Time Shooter here (on an unrelated topic, unblocked games 76 took down the link to Time Shooter 2 from their home page so you can only access it through our site!)

Then they made another one. Time Shooter 3 is very similar to the other games, with a few more content changes. There are now doors, battering rams, hostages, shields, new obstacles, and texture changes for the shotgun and rifle. On top of those editions, there are also a BOATLOAD of additional bugs glitches, hacks, and other gimmicks that take away the professional feel of the previous games.

To start, the collision on the walls is just wrong. Enemies can shoot through the wall inconsistently, sometimes they teleport through the walls, and you can walk through a part of one of the obstacles. Another disappointing collision glitch is the brick wall. Not only does the asset not fit in very well with the rather simplistic style from the rest of the game, but the collision doesn't match the bricks! I can't even begin to describe the deep and empty sadness that this causes me. I've built games in Unreal before, and although it's not exactly like unity, ITS REALLY DARN SIMPLE TO ADD COLLISION. Like, at this point, it's just a lack of effort. It would be so fun if you could shoot through the little holes in the brick, but no, there's at least a solid half a brick of collision added to the side.

The new content updates to the game are.. okay. Sure, they add a lot, but they're not really what the game needs. A better thing to add would be better AI, which still as dumb as the first installment. The AI still shoot eachother! Other than that, the content updates are a nice addition to the game and add extra depth as well as making the game more fun.

The level design is still pretty good, it's both difficult and fun, and the hardness slope is still pretty mild and not steep.

Overall, the game is still fun to play, but it has lost that "professional" feel when there were no bugs. If you got tired of Time Shooter 2 quickly, I wouldn't recommend the game because it's pretty much the same thing.

You can play this game here.
