X-racer, a speedy endless runner game, is really fun. It's playable in your browser right now, the graphics are simple yet effective, the random generation works pretty much flawlessly, and the game runs fast, even on a school chromebook.
You start off with the basic racer. You can buy more skins in the shop for credits. There are a few different levels. The first level randomly generates static pillars all over the map. The second level generates thinner pillars, but some move up and down. The third level is a canyon, which is pretty easy to get through but you can get unlucky and crash. The fourth level is composed of a bunch of spikes sticking up from the ground. The fifth level is pretty similar to the third, except the moving pillars are wider and move faster.
The goal is to navigate your racer through the pillars without crashing. You can move left and right, to an extent, but you can't control your speed, as you get faster the farther you get.
There are a bunch of rings that also generate alongside the pillars. If you run into these, you will get either a speed boost, slow motion activated for a few seconds, or 500 credits. Blue rings give you credits, green give you speed boost, and red give you slow motion.
Another great thing that this game has is that the theme of the colors changes. Sometimes the level is tan, sometimes white, sometimes it's even red. This adds a nice bit of variability that makes the game feel like it has a lot more content, even if it doesn't really.
